Beauty check list for the wedding day

A good beauty routine before the wedding and the perfect styling for make-up and hair are one of the most important components for your grand entrance. Here we have put together a few tips and tricks, so that your skin is flawless and small defects can be fixed or concealed quickly.

Before the wedding:

  1. There are many things to organize before your wedding, but it is essential to keep your wedding stress under control. Because every skin reacts to stress! Various approaches can help here. We recommend attending a yoga class regularly or meditating at home for 30 minutes every day. In this way, the body receives the necessary rest phases.
  1. If you have booked a stylist, arrange a trial appointment or try out your bridal make-up beforehand. Make sure to also take pictures indoors and outdoors to see how your makeup looks in pictures.
  1. Do not book the appointments for your treatments too shortly before the wedding. Should a mishap occur, you will need a certain amount of time to fix it. On the other hand, if it's a couple of weeks beforehand, you'll make it hassle-free! The list of treatments includes:
  • Hairdresser
  • Teeth cleaning
  • Manicure & Pedicure
  • Facial treatment
  • Body depilation
  • Massage
  • Don't have major cosmetic treatments done shortly before the wedding
  1. Live a healthy and balanced life. Exercise a lot, drink juice rather than wine, and eat a healthy diet low in fats and sugar. Green juices are especially good for the skin because they are high in oxygen and contain important minerals that stimulate the lymphatic system and clear puffiness. One juice a day is a the perfect treat. We also recommend to drink at least 3 liters of water a day and find enough time for your beauty sleep. The best way to do this is with our Sleeper Love me tender care set.
  1. Lightly tan your body beforehand. If you have booked a short vacation prior to your wedding, this of course is the easiest way. A spray tan or self-tanning cream can also help if necessary. Make sure to try out beforehand to find the right tone for your skin type and don't overdo it here.
  1. Develop a beauty routine for face, body and hair care.

Face:

  • Use eye pads and eye cream
  • regularly
  • Treat your skin with a gentle facial peeling and a mask (don't forget your neck and décolleté here)
  • An eyelash serum extends the lashes for the perfect look
  • If you tend to have lip vesicles get enough vitamins from the pharmacy to prevent them
  • Don't forget your lips: peeling and lip balm give your lips a natural glow

Body:

  • Pay special attention to your cleavage
  • Body and face peeling 1-2 times a week
  • Brush and cream the body morning and evening (oil / body lotion)
  • Treat nails with oil and cream in the evening
  • Apply lotion to feet regularly to prevent blisters

Hair:

  • Only wash your hair every other day
  • Always use conditioner
  • Treat your hair with a mask 1-2 times a week

On the day of the wedding

It is important that you start the most important day of your life as relaxed as possible. Despite the preparations, take some time to relax beforehand. Have a light breakfast and drink hot water to calm your stomach and make your skin shine. We recommend a little meditation in the morning before the wedding for 30 minutes. Find a quiet place to complete your perfect look. Do not use any new products on the day of the wedding and start your usual beauty routine. Here are a few little tricks for the wedding day:

  • Apply mask and eye mask after getting up
  • Use eye drops against reddened skin areas
  • Carry out a light facial and body peeling
  • Wash your hair without conditioner (so that the hairstyle lasts correctly)
  • Don't use too much sunscreen
  • Apply waterproof mascara
